With her almost decade long, fully-booked hairstylist career, Wella MCE™️ education, and training backgrounds in 3 different extension methods, combining them all to what has worked best for her and her clients, she’s curated different educational experiences to fit exactly what you’re looking for. 

These days, certifications are a touchy subject. You can sign up for a half day seminar at a ballroom somewhere, and walk away with a “certification” knowing the bare minimum. Kara’s  discovered that she learns best when she just watches an artist do their thang. She loves to pick their brains, watch their techniques, sit front row, and take down as many notes as possible. This is what has worked best for our team at KP Styling and we know it can work for you.

shadowing with KP

An immersive education experience that gives you an inside look of what goes on in a typical day of a color + extension specialist. 1 day & 3 day opportunities available.

1 Day Shadowing // observation with Q+A

Includes:

  • 1 day observation watching Kara with her clients

  • Q+A with Kara at the end of the day

3 Day Shadowing // observation, live model practice, color + extensions

Includes:

  • Pre-training videos

  • 2 days of shadowing

  • Hands-on training with Kara

  • 1 day working with a live model for a color + extension install

  • Professional photos and videos for your own marketing purposes

  • KP tips + tricks on marketing, photography and more

salon-exclusive training

A 2-day education experience hosted at your own salon that allows your stylists to slow down, and nerd out with Kara and some of the KP Team learning all things color and extension.

Great for:

Commission salon owners, groups of booth renters inside the same salon, salons with a team of 4 or more, teams that want to learn the art of hand-tied extensions in their own element. 

Includes:

  • 2 day private salon classes hosted at your own salon

  • A “fast pass” email sent by Kara to the Covet + Mane team to expedite your inquirers about carrying their hair line

  • As much Q+A as possible

  • Haircolor tips + tricks

Customized experiences are available to fit the needs of your team.

in-salon public education

1-day, color only classes hosted at KP Styling in Beaumont, TX.

This class will take you through a proper consultation, various highlight and lowlight techniques, the difference between a shadow root and a smudge, different toning options & styling, Learn client photography and social media tips for showcasing work.
In the morning, Kara will take a darker haired client much brighter, and in the afternoon she will take a blonde client to the bronde side. Then we will finish the day with Q+A session with some cocktails.

Experienced stylists, fresh out of hair school stylists, cosmetology students, salon owners, anyone with cosmetology experience that has an open mind and loves to learn.
